Terms of use

In effect from October 22, 2026.

  1. Who can post

Anyone can read the board. Posting is free. To post, use your real name and be 18 or older, or post with a parent’s or guardian’s okay. Posts are for events and offerings in Humboldt County.

  2. Your flyer stays yours

You keep the rights to what you post. By posting, you let us show your flyer and its details on this site and anywhere the board shares them: our feeds, embeds on other websites, share pages and the Thursday email. We may resize or crop the image so it fits, and write a short summary of it. This permission is free and not exclusive, so you can post your flyer anywhere else too. It ends when your post comes down, except for copies that were already sent or saved.

  3. Share only what you have the right to share

When you post, you confirm that you run the event or offering, or have permission to post it. You also confirm that you have the right to share the flyer, including any photos or artwork on it.

  4. What isn’t allowed

Anything against the board rules. Also nothing illegal, nothing that copies someone else’s work without permission, nothing that shares a person’s private information, and nothing that pretends to be someone else.

  5. What a check means

We look over each post before it goes up. That check is only for the board rules. It doesn’t mean we confirmed the details, and it doesn’t mean we vouch for the event, the group or the service. Before you pay for anything or hire anyone, check for yourself.

  6. No promises

The board is offered as it is, with no warranty of any kind. We try to keep it running and accurate, but we can’t promise it will always be up or that every post is right. We aren’t part of any deal between you and a poster. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses that come from using the board.

  7. We can take things down

We can remove or change any post, or stop anyone from posting, at any time. That includes people who post other people’s work again after we’ve taken it down. See copyright for how to ask us to take down a flyer.

  8. California law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

  9. Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we say so here with a new date. Posting after that means you accept the new terms.

  10. Questions

    Email [email protected].
